Is this actually free, or a trial?
Genuinely free. No credit card at signup and no expiry date. It’s intentionally limited to 1 GB and sleeps when idle, so we can offer it to everyone.
Why does my server go to sleep?
Free servers share a pool of resources. An empty server stops after a short idle period and starts again the moment someone connects, usually within about 15 seconds.
What happens to my world while it sleeps?
Your world stays saved on disk. Only the running server process stops, never your data.
Can Bedrock players (phone, console, Windows) join?
The free tier runs Minecraft Java Edition, so players join from Java on PC, Mac or Linux. For Bedrock friends, deploy a paid Minecraft Bedrock server (from $2.99 a month) on the same account.
Can I run mods or plugins?
The free tier runs vanilla Minecraft. For Forge, Fabric, Paper plugins and full modpacks, upgrade to a paid game server with full file and console access.
