Move from Namecheap to Nxeon

Already on Namecheap? Point us at it and we'll scan it, detect your whole stack, and bring it up running on Nxeon — same paths, no downtime on your Namecheap server, and it's free.

  • Free migration
  • No downtime on your Namecheap server
  • No DB passwords needed
How it works

From Namecheap to live on Nxeon

Four beats, and only the first one needs you. Connect once, then watch the scan, the click, and the bring-up happen.

Step 1

Connect your Namecheap server

Point us at it with its SSH details. That's the whole setup — no agent to install, and we never store your credentials.

Step 2

We scan & detect everything

A read-only scan finds your files, home dirs, databases, Docker containers and running apps — with sizes — so nothing gets left behind.

Step 3

One click to migrate

We install the prerequisites, copy everything to the same paths, import your databases, and bring your containers and services up.

Step 4

Live on Nxeon

We verify what's actually running and hand you a clear list of anything that needs a manual touch. Your Namecheap server never changes.

Why switch

Why people move from Namecheap

General, defensible reasons people go looking for a different host — not a claim about anyone's specific experience.

Best known as a domain registrar — hosting, including VPS, is a smaller, secondary part of the business

Shared hosting and website-builder products dominate the lineup, with VPS a smaller, separate tier

Control panel and support experience vary across its different hosting product lines

No dedicated game-server hosting product built into the same dashboard as VPS

Pricing

Simple, all-in Nxeon plans

The price you see is the price checkout charges — read live from our catalogue. Every tier gets the same platform, root access and protection; you only choose the horsepower.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks before switching

Will my site go down during the move?

No. The scan and the copy are strictly read-only on your Namecheap server — we only read your files and dump your databases. Nothing there is changed, stopped, or deleted, and it keeps serving traffic the whole time. Your site only cuts over when you're happy and point your DNS at Nxeon.

Do I need to give you my Namecheap account password?

No. We never ask for your Namecheap account or control-panel login. What we need is SSH access to the server itself, and we don't store those credentials either. Database migration doesn't need a password at all — we dump MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL using root over the source's local socket.

What if something doesn't migrate cleanly?

We're honest here: we start everything we can — files, databases, Docker Compose stacks, services — and then verify what's actually running. Anything unusual, like a hand-built systemd unit, a one-off container, or a different-CPU-architecture binary, is listed clearly so you know the exact remaining step, or our team can take it from there.

Is moving from Namecheap really free?

Yes. Migration is free, with no per-gigabyte fee and no migration surcharge — you only pay for the Nxeon server you keep running afterward, and you can run the migration as many times as you need before you cut over.

Stop putting off the move. Bring it all over in one click.

Migration off Namecheap is free and your old server keeps running the whole time. Connect it, scan it, and see your whole stack come up on Nxeon.
