Summary

Faster taming!

Description

Greatly boosts the appetite (reduces the food level). There are two version, one for targets that are fed forcefully and one version most effective on targets that need to be tamed peacefully. The mod also includes a portable Appetizer Mixing Station that allows to produce Appetizers more effeciently (more appetizers for less berries). The Hunger Potion (crafted in Appetizer Mixing Station) is a super strong appetizer, it makes extremely hungry!

Compatibility

Clean and stackable mod. Does not change any existing items, only adds additional items.

How to use it

  • Produce the Appetite Enhancer Mixture (Engram) by mixing the required berries together
  • Feed the mixture directly to a target, via remote use in its inventory or the way peacefully tamed creatures are fed

Note on crafting

The berry mixture made for peaceful taming is made of Mejoberries. So when using other recipes that need Mejoberries, this mixture can (and will) be used as Mejoberry replacement too, should you have no Mejoberries in your inventory at the time and start crafting something that would need them. To avoid that, place Mejoberries into your inventory (before the mixture, either on the row above or in a slot to the left of it).

What's the effect?

The target will quickly gain appetite (i.e. lose Food). This can be very useful during the taming process. The more hungry the creature is, the quicker it will eat its taming food and the faster the taming process is. Note: When taming a target peacefully, it will take 2-3 times feeding the peaceful mixture before you start noticing the effect. Make sure to alternate feeding it normal berries too, or you'll run out of mixture very fast! The appetizer (forceful) does work on Carnivores and Herbivores. The peaceful appetizer does work on Herbivores (Carnivores won't be interested in berries, I suppose) :)

Future Updates:

I will be adding an appetizer for passive taming of Coprophagic.
