The Arktika is an unique command submarine designed with a powerful icebreaking bow. It is, unfortunately, not practical for use against all but the largest Europan creatures. While the engine is capable of outputting enough power to make the Arktika quite fast, it also breaks down quickly under such conditions and is not advised to be used continuously under such strain for longer than half a minute. She is equiped with an advanced airlock to protect the reactor and a research suite. -------------------------------- The Arktika's engine builds up a static charge that will, eventually, cause significant problems throughout the rear of the ship. It is advisable to use it for only short periods, but if a longer time is needed, brace yourselves.

If the ship succumbs to flooding and damage, the reactor room can be sealed and an emergency backup generator activated that will only power essential equipment (coilguns, pumps). Simply type "Emergency" into the terminal.

All battery recharge rates for the engine can be set with the terminal using 1-100.

The automatic emergency engine shutdown can be modified using the lower terminal. I would not advise raising it much above 100. Lower at your discretion.

Lighting of this ship is kudos to GophTheGreat

== Submarine Armament and Mobility == 3x dual coilgun systems. The upper fore weapons were damaged, and one coilgun was removed completely to fabrication to undergo repairs.

Lower fore EDC to assist with the railgun.

Rear EDC for small enemies in the completely blind area past the engine.

Maximum horizontal velocity of 11km/h, with emergency batteries can temporarily be 30km/h

== Commodities ==

Fabrication and security have their own fabrication suites to prevent clogging fabrication use. Medical also features a deconstructor.

Electrical engineers have their own surveillance area to facilitate finding and repairing broken junction boxes located throughout the ship.

Engineers and mechanics have access to all locations of the ship to keep repair efforts smooth and seamless.

Security does not have access to restricted areas of the submarine; they must receive permission from the captain before making arrests.

== Wrecks ==

I've made a wrecked version of the Arktika, and there is another wreck which was involved in her demise. Both of them could be quite unpleasant.
