About Improved Psychosis

Introducing Improved Psychosis, a mod that heavily alters Psychosis to make it more problematic as a debuff affliction as well as giving it more variety and "fun" parts to it . So what does it…

Introducing Improved Psychosis, a mod that heavily alters Psychosis to make it more problematic as a debuff affliction as well as giving it more variety and "fun" parts to it.

So what does it actually do? [*]Heavily increases the duration of Psychosis, ignoring Psychosis won't make it go away over the course of a mission, stocking anti psychosis medical supplies may now be a wise choice to keep your crew at maximum efficiency. [*]Psychosis sound spam reduced while also adjusting sound positions and volume and increasing possible sounds in the list that can be used, as well as changing sounds played based on psychosis amount and some other factors, making them more unpredictable and context sensitive. [*]Psychosis now gives up to 3 side effects, with varying possible ones based on current Psychosis amount. [*]Adds dozens of these new "Side Effects" of Psychosis, each giving their own type of debuff, avoiding pitfalls of just making it another damage type affliction but focusing on actually making it interfere with playing normally, through creative means and more simple stat debuffs. [*]New sources of Psychosis. [*]Support for Psycho Clown, and by that I mean Psycho Clowns are less effected by the side effects, only able to gain 1 at a time instead of potentially 3 like the common folk.

What horrors side effects is to be expected? A range of stat debuffs, visual debuffs and some more unique ones alongside that. That's the most I can get into spoiler free wise to ensure you get the most Schizophrenic experience first time. [*]
Memory Loss causing temporary high skill loss
[*]
Dark Vision causing a darkened screen.
[*]
Feebled causing lowered melee strength and movement speed.
[*]
Blotches causing visual clutter through coloured blobs covering the screen.
[*]
Light Switch causing sudden temporary screen blackouts.
[*]
Momentary Blackouts causing the patient's vision to slowly darken then lose consciousness for several seconds, stunning them to the floor and leaving them blind for the duration.
[*]
Nauseating causing regular nausea gain at varying intervals.
[*]
Distortion causing screen effects to impair vision, with occasional short duration high visual effects.
[*]
Hearing Loss causing audio to become harder to hear.
[*]
Disorientated causing reversed controls for the duration.
[*]
False Husk causing a non existent husk affliction to appear for the patient.
[*]
Imaginary Items causing fake non interactable items to spawn into your inventory occasionally.
[*]
Unsteady Hands causing high weapon spread, reduced repair speed and reduced welding speed.
[*]
Zoophobia causing stress when nearby monsters, greatly increasing weapon spread and distorting the screen.
[*]
Blood Writing causing occasional light bleeding alongside the patient drawing or writing on the wall.
[*]
Learning Troubles causing reduced skill gain for the duration.
[*]
Breathing troubles causing occasional oxygen loss and reducing how long breath can be hold before suffocating.
[*]
Rambling causing the patient to encounter potentially inopportune timing conversations with themselves.
Getting rid of Side Effects can be done by simply waiting them out or removing Psychosis itself through any other mean.

What can cause Psychosis? [*]Same as vanilla stuff, that is all left untouched. [*]
Watching crew members die has a chance to cause Psychosis.
[*]
Being alone for too long, especially outside of the submarine has a small chance to cause minor Psychosis.
Feedback Feel free to leave feedback about the mod, as I have not been able to play much "actual play", rather just testing it and I would appreciate knowing other people's thoughts who have actually gotten to toy with it a bit.

Compatibility/Overrides Only overrides Psychosis itself, so should be placed above any mod that also does this, nothing else is overriden for maximum compatibility.
