The laser beam welding tool is more accurate and has an increased range to repair stuff you can't walk to or to repair thicker hulls. It's fixing speed is about 30% faster then gas welding. The drawback is, that it depletes your batteries really fast. SUMMARY: Slighty faster than gas welding, use batteries instead of gas, depletes batteries really fast.
