SCP-008

Adds a zombie plague, as well as the "Bio-Former", a mysterious contraption that uses jargon-y esoteric BS to turn the disease which causes the zombie plague into usable rare materials and objects existing on a higher spatial dimension. High risk, high reward. Requires regular refilling with blood packs to help culture the plague, and thusly produce more materials.

Zombies are horrifically resilient, and infection spreads through blood-to-blood or saliva-to-blood contact with a zombie. To kill a zombie, either incinerate it, or shatter its skull when it's vulnerable. Find a way to handcuff a zombie, and they'll try to bite you without grabbing, with varying levels of success. Cover your face before you turn, and you'll be unable to bite as a zombie, resorting to clawing out chunks of flesh with a much lower risk of infection. Infection is confirmed if a zombie attacks you and you're bleeding, or if you're exposed to the spewing gas and glass of a malfunctioning Bio-Former while bleeding.

A simple zombie mod, with some intricate mechanics because I love making them. At some point, I'll rename everything away from SCP-008 to a more generic "Zombie Plague" to make it a bit less jarring for non-SCP servers.

By the way, there is no cure. Well, there is one, but its container is unlabeled and the substance is not produced commercially. Good luck!
