**** This sub pack now needs the mod "-LG- Point defense system" to function properly. *****

This is an advanced military frigate with long range warfare in mind. Its main feature is a JTAC drone linked to an onboard fire computer, allowing to engage targets beyond sonar range with a rail gun turret and a pseudo PDB mode were the JTAC drone chases targets and requests fire from the 4 defense turrets available.

Is the sub too OP? Hardly. The JTAC system adds a new toy to play with, wich doesnt give any direct advantages or win buttons. It can potentially allow you to snipe a pirate sub with a nuke beyond sonar range, wipe out a mudraptor group before they see your sub, or fail miserably and let your sub sink to the abyss all the same. Most of the time it will help by drawing away some targets from an attacking group and engage them while your crew focus on the remaining threats, guard an area while you park the sub to raid a cave, or iluminate terrain ahead with passive sonar when going with sonar off. With a dedicated player cooperating with the captain it can be a powerful tool.

Ideally the sub is to be sailed glued to the sea floor to protect its uncovered belly and moonpool access, with a JTAC covering its top front area or scanning terrain directly ahead. Down in the abyss, you can deploy the JTAC 200m infront of your path to hopefully get an early warning on any abyss dweller.

Issues being fixed

-Railgun ousidet of fire arc trigger block not very accurate

-------------------- -Added Tracer ammo for PDB. It brights in the dark and helps aim with firecontroller.Good burn damage. -Added Firecontrol on some turrets. Allows sight up to 70m for long range shooting. Its quite dark to see much though. -Added Flak version of PDB ammo. Weak and with few shrapnel but still does the job if using 2 boxes. For normal coilguns you definitely will do better with any normal ammo. -IIIG tier 3 sub uses CIWS. As long as you can keep feeding it ammo, it will cut through anything except abyss creatures. -------------------

This package comes with several variants:

IIIG - Candidate version available. Defense turrets upgraded to CIWS. This sub is OP. IIF - This is the military version with everything on it. Intended for harder mods like Barotraumatic. IIC - All complex things like JTAC removed. Diver support drone remains. One turret has Firecontroller. IA - The closest thing to a vanilla sub. No complex things, no drones. Only Turret autoswitch and basic features remain. Recommended for vanilla game. One turret has Firecontroller.

Some of the features include: - JTAC drone - Fire computer --- will aim and compensate gravity and elevation, add dynamic bullet dispersion and try deflection shooting. - CiC room --- were JTAC and fire computer is mainly operated. Controls doubled in command room. - Sonar array --- Instead of a ship centered sonar you got switchable front and rear sonars. - Divers support drone --- based on the Glimmer Drone. - Defense turrets --- modified less powerful coilguns, only usable in commnad room. - Auto turret switch --- for defense turrets only, so you dont waste time looking for threats when playing solo. - Silent mode --- limits engine and reactor output to the bare minimum. - Inside cameras --- For the captain to monitor key places on the sub. - Moonpool --- We love moonpools here. Crawlers do too we heard. - Id lockable doors --- Command room, armory, brig and medical bay can be locked by related Id card job. - Reactor safety --- It turns off automatically if its overheating, hopefully before fires start. - Reactor flood --- A button floods the reactor room, and flushes water away on next press. - Battery based --- Main power pass through battery bank, giving full reactor stability. - Top and bottom docks --- If you play with sellable wrecks, this will help. - "Last Stand" command room --- With its own battery, O2 gen and double doors to ensure the captain dies last.

Quick Manual:

SONAR ARRAY

Theres a sonar in front and rear of the sub, wich gives extra range since the ship is quite long. Use the button at sonar screen to switch from one sonar to the other.

Theres another sonar located in the Rail gun mainly for helping operate the turret. The CiC sonar terminal uses it for railgun mode and a centered one for PDB mode.

COMMAND ROOM

Special note is JTAC controls. big "S" button sets JTAC in sonar terminal control. Press "JTAC CTRL" on terminal to switch from ship control to JTAC control. Last position entered will be saved in memory. It may feel tricky to drive 2 things at the same time but its perfectly doable, or even better get a dedicated JTAC operator. Capacitor setting is used to count as JTAC range to sail away from sub, its currently double the % set. So 80% is 160meters away from sub. JTAC autodock is better used when JTAC is on top of the sub as it doesnt navigate around the ship.

FIRE COMPUTER

Here you have control over the JTAC features.

ARMED - Failsafe button, when activated fire requests from JTAC will reach the turrets. SEARCH - Activate to allow JTAC to detect and chase enemys on its own. Combine with ARMED.

PDB - All 4 turrets will track the JTAC drone and listen to fire requests. SPREAD - Activates dynamic bullet spreading based on range. To be used with PDB to increase chances of hitting

RANGE - Shows range to JTAC from center of ship (PDB) or Railgun turret (PDB off). JTAC LINK - In CiC only, will make the railgun track the JTAC and change periscope control from turret to JTAC. When off you can control the railgun with the sonar terminal.
