Technical highlights:

Buffering battery array. A buffering battery array is installed between reactor and power consuming machines. The batteries will absorb any load fluctuating which could possibly cause troubles to your reactor and other parts of the power grid. This battery array was controlled by a charge rate auto-modifying system. You can check the state or adjust this system to meet your need through two on-board terminals. Q: why should I need this system? Buffering battery is friendly to reactor because the charging load for battery is stable (compared with the always-changing load of engines, pumps, and machines). However, when buffering battery is fully charged, the charging load will drop to 0, and this change is extremely bad for reactor. In our system, we have a “lower limit” for battery charging: battery will charge at full speed when its charged percentage is lower than that limit, and decrease its charge rate gently when its charged percentage exceeded this limit. Since all batteries should eventually reach 0 charge rate when 100% charged, the decreasing rate become sharp when the lower limit is high. Therefore, the balance between battery enduring and reactor safety is important for a captain to consider.

Captain overriding gunsights Stepping into the command room you will see a round panel and a periscope right next to it. This is the overriding gunsight system which allows you to take priority control of certain hardpoint without leaving steer position. You can access quickly to this system through 3 steps: Step1: use the periscope, and you view center will switch to the panel. Step2: select the gun position you want to control through mouse clicking. Step3: control the gun, right click to exit, and select a different gun.

Multifunctional shuttle. Multifunction shuttle “Thinking Fish” is a deployable support platform for various outboard missions. Its small size (comparing with the bulk size of the main ship) allows it to enter narrow spaces like caves and tunnels. It is mounted with a coil gun of its top (which is disabled when docked) and a depth charge thrower on the bottom. It is also featured with a moonpool opening downward which let you get in and out conveniently, still, you can use the docking door to get out if you really need to. There is an oxygen generator and a large cabinet on this shuttle which could support your long-term mission without returning to the main ship (before your battery runs out). Also, a monitor on the main ship is connected to this shuttle, through which crews can provide extra overwatch when ppl on shuttle are too busy to check their sonar.
