A wooden sword lined with sharp obsidian blades embedded in the front and back edges. Standard melee weapon for Aztec warriors. According to contemporary accounts, the weapon was sharp and strong enough to decapitate a horse. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macuahuitl]

Usage

• Mid-tier weapon damage with good armor penetration.
• Unlockable at Level 12
• Prerequisite Feats: Warrior, Journeyman Craftsman, Carpenter
• Crafting Materials: Shaped Wood x5, Ironstone x15
• Repair Materials: Wood, Ironstone
• Heavy swings will knock out without killing. This functionality has been removed. Weapon operates like a normal sword.

Other Info

The name "Macuahuitl" translates as "hungry wood." In contrast to what is presented here, most references I have found indicate that the obsidian blades traditionally used were wider and thinner to form a near-contiguous cutting edge closer in appearance to that of a European sword. However, I prefer the imagery of hungry wood having sharpened "teeth."

This mod does not replace any DataTables in their entirety and should be compatible with other mods.
