You can directly see what ressource is stored in those 6 dedicated storages and how full they are. (Ingots, ore, wood and hides at present, with weapons and armors to come next)
0%: there is one item inside to see which ressource it contains. 33% full: a few items fill the bottom. 66% full: the storage is nearly full. 100% full: the items slightly overflow the top.
Examples:
A crate of logs where the wood pile grows progressively. A pile of metal ingots with stacks that get taller. A pallet of animal hides that gradually fills and bulges.
Advantages: Highly intuitive and easy to identitfy at a glance, with no UI indicators required. Also aestheticly blends in with the rest of your furnitures that will please role-playing gamers.
