Survival Reimagined

A work-in-progress early-game survival rework for Conan Exiles, built around the idea that waking up half-dead in the Exiled Lands should involve a little more actual surviving and a little less immediately speed-running your way to iron. The early game has been reshaped to feel more primitive, deliberate, and immersive. Basic materials matter for longer, crude tools and improvised equipment have more purpose, and progression is intended to feel like you are genuinely clawing your way up from nothing rather than simply ticking boxes on the way to the ?real? game.

The Journey system has been reworked to guide players through the new progression, recipes, crafting chains, and survival systems. It is there to help you understand what has changed and what to do next without needing to alt-tab every five minutes and consult the ancient scriptures of the wiki.

The mod is fully playable in its current form, although development is ongoing and more systems are being expanded and refined. The next major update will focus on completely reworking the tanning process, giving hides, leather production, and early crafting a more involved and believable progression.

The aim is not difficulty for difficulty?s sake. It is to make the Exiled Lands feel a little harsher, scrappier, and more rewarding, with more emphasis on actually surviving, crafting, and building yourself up from nothing.

Suggestions and feedback are very welcome. I?m fairly sure I?m not the only person who has looked at Conan Exiles and thought, ?This could feel a lot more Hyborian.?

Expect more primitive crafting, more survival systems, more progression reworks, and probably a few more opportunities to question why your character thought being exiled was a good career move.
