The rags she crossed the sand in had gone to threads, then to dust, and somewhere past the river she stopped bothering to hold them together. Easier to walk bare than to keep grasping at cloth that would not stay. The sun found every part of her. The wind found the rest.

It was the shade that saved her. She lay down under a broad green canopy near the water and slept without dreaming, and when she woke the heat had gone out of her skin for the first time in days. She looked up at the leaves that had done it. Wide as a shield, each one, and cool in the hand.

So she pulled them down. She sat in the shallows with her legs in the current and worked, splitting vines with her teeth, laying leaf over leaf until the overlap held. There was no pattern to follow. She fit the work to herself, testing each piece where it would sit, learning what would hold and what would slip when she moved.

What she made was not modest. She knew that as she tied it on. It covered her the way shade covers - in patches, moving as she moved, generous in one moment and less so in the next. But it hung cool and light, and it did not chafe, and the sun no longer touched what it had been punishing for a week.

She stood up in the river and found that she did not care what it hid. Out here there was no one to see, and no one to tell her she should be ashamed. She cared only that she could walk in the heat again.

That night she slept cool, and in the morning she went back for more leaves.[/i]

This is my first outfit project and I'm new to Blender. I got the idea for this because I wanted something new when I start the game fresh and you just want things to cover the body other than a burlap sack. I've also noticed a lack of decent basic armors on the workshop or that there are things that are just a bit too slutty for my taste. I feel like outfits can be sexy without just being a series of strings.

• Six craftable pieces - an upper covering and a lower covering: Leaf, Leather, and Hide
• Light protection, comparable to basic starting clothing
• Leans toward keeping you cool rather than warm
• Male and female versions
• Both pieces are dyeable.

A word of warning

The male version covers even less than the female one, which is to say: not a great deal, and not reliably. If you were hoping to preserve any dignity below the waist, this is not the outfit for you. The leaves hang. They don't cling or fasten, and they move when you do. Consider this your notice.
