World Rebalance (Monsters, Loot) -Creatures -Loot

Instead of boosting experience gains on tons of creatures to match their imbalanced stats, this mod adjusts various stats (while sometimes tweaking XP gains) to give a better, normalized reward for each PvE kill.

World Loot Changes

The following special plants drop additional Plant Fiber: -Yellow Lotus -Aloe Vera -Coral -Sponge -Glowing Algae -False Mandrake -Grey Flower Lupine -True Indigo -Magenta Flower -Mightnight Blue Flower

Trees now have increased drop chances (respecting geographic limitations) for: -Bark -Resin

This mod affects the following to creatures: -Loot Changes (LC) -Combat Updates (CU) -Experience Earned (EE) -Explanation (Expl)

Note: ALL Creatures will now lose stamina when sprinting or attacking, similar to players.

Creatures that currently do not need rebalanced (I'm always open to your feedback, though): -Frost Giant (including boss and smith) -Hyena -Locust -Mountain Goat -Ostrich -Cat (Panther, Tiger, Jaguar, Sabertooth, Sandbeast) -Rhino -Scorpion -Snake -Boar

Creatures that have been changed:

Imps

LC: Exploding Glands drops higher amounts with lower drop chances. Expl: Overall this will yield more Exploding Glands for the player, further justifying bases in the south that focus on farming these resources.

Deer (including Antelopes, Elk)

CU: Prediction rates improved. EC: Grant slightly more experience. Expl: Their prediction rates have been increased, as they are prey and should generally know how to survive. Their XP has been increased to compensate for the increased challenge of the chase. This will further enable usage of ranged weapons to access their loot tables.

Crocodiles

CU: Knockback Defense reduced. EE: A bit more experience. Expl: Early game, Crocodiles are brutal. Players can quickly access weapons with decent knockback to hold them at bay with this KD reduction.

Spiders

LC: Increased chance to drop Gossamer Expl: Spiders are usually found in caves that naturally spawn Gossamer anyway, but sometimes you will fight Spiders outside of these caves. To enhance outside Spider farming (opposed to inside Spider farming), I bumped up the drop chance to 50%.

Rocknose (including all variations)

LC: 4x Brimstone & 2x Crystal droprates. Expl: Rocknoses' stats feel good in combat (including the golems in the north), but their loot tables tease the player for Brimstone and Crystal. I think all resources should have at least one way to be obtained via combat and one way to be obtained via exploration/harvest. This change makes Rocknose farming worth the effort.

BatDemons

CU: Armor reduced. Knockback Defense has been normalized. EE: Grant far more experience. Expl: They are not nearly as rewarding as they should be, given their strength and difficulty to kill.

Bears

CU: Health has been reduced. Armor has been increased. EE: Experience has been moderately increased. Expl: Bears' toughness is now better reflected with less health and more armor - this way, players who focus on offensive, armor-penatrating weapons can cut through bears.

Wolves

CU: Health has been slightly increased. Armor has been reduced. EE: Experience has been moderately increased. Expl: Contrary to bears, dire wolves have been adjusted to be stronger against armor penetration weapons, but easier to kill for bludgeon melee.

Undead Creatures

LC: Added Brimstone to loot tables. Expl: Undead are generally useless to farm for any reason, but are a pain when trying to farm other creatures in mixed spawn areas. This change adds a bit of meaning to harvesting undead (beyond loot from the "Rotten" table).

Death Knights

EE: 10x more experience. Expl: Bosses (and minions) like this generally give terrible loot rewards and little experience. Until there are better rewards for the pains of taking these DK's down, they will grant this larger experience bonus.

Elephants (including Mammoths)

CU: Increased health and armor. Knockback Defense has been increased. EE: Experience has been increased. Expl: This entire creature family is far too easy to kill. I have increased all values to lessen the player's access to these creatures' loot tables, while rewarding experience appropriately.

Werehyena

LC: Added Steelfire and Healing Wraps. Expl: Loot tables were terribly underpowered, especially for the rarity and spawn locations of this creature. (This is an experimental change, looking for feedback here).

Dragons (Red, Green, White/Undead, Hatchling)

LC: Added chance to drop bonus Demon Blood. EE: Experience has been drastically increased. Expl: Boasting natural health numbers in the tens of thousands (or 100k+ if Undead), the experience rewarded for these kills simply doesn't make sense (even with the chance to drop demon blood). I did not reduce the health or armor on these because I think their new loot table should remain as difficult to access.

Sewer Abomination

LC: Added low chance for rare T3 gear to drop. Expl: To further justify farming this boss.

There is data for "baby" versions of many creatures, suggesting that some sort of creature breeding is coming in a future patch. You can expect this mod to reflect changes to that data, as well as any other new content, as the game's development progresses.
