I decided to make this M4 inspired by the Aurthurian legends, and the lore of Excalibur.
I went for a steel blade like finish for the entirety of the slide and the silencer, whilst highlighting it with gold accents and engravings, and some ruby-like gemstone scattered about. The blue leather-like handle is how I imagined Excalibur would be wrapped together, rather than just a normal brown leather. And to tie it all together I added a marble texture, to add a nice finish, and to representing the stone it was once held in before it was removed.
The engravings on the play side reads "Rex Quondam, Rexque Futurus", which means "The Once and Future King".
