Power was granted at once. The price was taken piece by piece.
THE ONI CONTRACT
Long ago, when the banners of her house were falling one after another, a young warrior was ordered to protect what remained of her clan. She fought until there was no army left to call upon, no ally close enough to answer, and no path to victory that still belonged to the human world.
Beneath an abandoned shrine, she found a sealed Oni mask.
The spirit within offered her what no mortal could: the strength to turn certain defeat into victory. But an Oni never gives without taking. The contract was not written on paper. It was carved into a blade.
Its symbols bound the warrior and the spirit together, and when she raised the mask to her face, the pact was sealed. One half remained human. The other belonged to the Oni. The demon did not demand her life in a single payment. Instead, it would take her slowly — memory after memory, breath after breath, piece after piece — until nothing human remained beneath the mask. She returned to battle and saved her people. But from that day forward, every victory belonged to two souls. And only one of them was willing to wait.

THE DESIGN
The central illustration captures the moment in which the warrior and the Oni still exist together. Her blue human eye remains alert and alive, while the red eye of the Oni burns beside it. The hand across her face is not simply a pose — it marks the boundary between the woman she was and the entity gradually taking her place.

Behind her is a divided crimson sun. On the human side, it remains bright and alive. Behind the Oni, it has already darkened. The circle itself is not meant to break. It represents a world that remains intact while its balance changes. The darkness does not destroy the sun. It takes it over.

THE ONI'S GAZE
The Oni's red eye was given a subtle living glow.
Unlike the human eye beside it, its light does not remain completely still — it slowly pulses, drawing the viewer back toward the demonic half of the face. The effect is deliberately restrained. It is not meant to overpower the illustration, but to suggest that the Oni is not simply a mask or a symbol. Something behind it is awake.

THE CONTRACT BLADE
The dagger is directly connected to the Oni. The glowing markings carved into its surface are the symbols of the original pact — the contract that allowed the spirit to cross into the warrior. For this reason, the blade is not merely another weapon within the illustration. It is the physical proof that the agreement exists.

SAKURA — LIFE AND DECAY
The sakura flower beside the human side of her face represents the life that still remains. A few bright petals survive close to the warrior and her armor. Further away, across the darker body of the P90, the petals gradually lose their color. Pink becomes burgundy, burgundy becomes almost black. They are not different flowers. They are different stages of the same life.

The cuts, faint smoke and scattered dark traces across the weapon continue this transition without competing with the central artwork. They are not a second scene. They are the marks left behind by the pact.

RARITY POSITIONING

This finish was developed as a strong Restricted-tier concept. The composition was intentionally built around a single dominant character, while the darker areas of the P90 remain comparatively restrained. Secondary elements — fading sakura petals, blade marks and traces of the curse — support the main illustration without competing with it. The narrative-driven wear system adds another layer to the concept while preserving the controlled visual density intended for the Restricted tier.

WEAR — THE ONI TAKES OVER

Wear was designed as a continuation of the story rather than simple surface damage. The finish uses a 0.00–0.80 wear range. At low wear, the warrior is still in control. As wear increases, the human elements are deliberately lost first. The darker body of the weapon, the clothing and the armor remain preserved for longer so that the transformation — rather than ordinary physical damage — remains the main visual focus.
0.00–0.07 — CONTROL
The pact has been made, but the warrior still holds herself together. Only minor physical wear appears on the weapon. The human face, sakura, clothing, armor and both eyes remain almost completely intact. The Oni is present, but it has not yet taken control.
0.07–0.15 — FIRST SIGNS
Small areas of human skin begin to disappear. The transformation is still subtle, but the Oni is no longer confined entirely to its original half. The surrounding weapon finish remains comparatively clean, allowing the first changes to the human side to remain visible.
0.15–0.38 — THE SPREAD
