This is a client only mod to eliminate the background noise while transmitter is on. If you and your friends are playing with in-game VOIP, then also personal radio (transceiver) or base radio come in handy. Being always on reception and listening for incoming calls is a must, but always hearing the background noise is so annoying.
ADDED: You will hear a warning beep when radio just switched off. Useful to notify you if battery is empty.
