Adds two taller wall types for building houses, giving you an indoor feel and stronger protection. Wood House Wall / Stone House Wall: Crafted in the Structures tab with the Alchemy Engine.
Features: - Enclosed areas formed with house walls are treated as rooms. Regular walls and doors can also be used as part of the enclosure. The default room size limit is 800 wall tiles; larger areas will not be recognized as rooms. - A roof is automatically added when a room is formed. If the enclosure is broken, such as by hammering down a wall, the roof is automatically removed. - When you enter a room, the walls below the current room and the roofs of all adjacent rooms automatically become transparent to avoid blocking your view. Nearby walls also become transparent while you are placing house walls. - Natural Shield: The roof can protect you from rain, snow accumulation, wildfire, overheating, sandstorms, moonstorms, meteors, and Antlion sinkholes. - Creature Shield: Indoor areas block various hasslers and creatures from spawning, such as hounds, Deerclops, Bearger. House walls can resist attacks from external monsters and giants, and can knock back giants. - Doors can be installed on house walls, just right-click the wall while holding an original door. - Multiple options to customize, such as power and effects control.
Less ideal features: They do not block flying creatures, and giants' area attacks can still reach the interior.
Changelog: 2.0: Indoor areas now block various hasslers and hazards from spawning under roofs, such as hounds, Deerclops, Bearger, birds, Pengull colonies, meteors, and Antlion sinkholes; Giants' attacks on walls will now knock them back and cause them to lose aggression. 1.1: Added protection from sandstorms and moonstorms indoors. Roofs are now added automatically when walls fully enclose a room, without needing to enter it first. Also fixed several roof display issues. 1.0: Adjusted roof textures; greatly improved performance to reduce lag; indoor wildfire and overheat protection are now enabled by default; nearby walls become transparent while placing house walls; fixed issues such as farming being unavailable indoors and ambient background sounds indoors. 0.2: No more snow accumulation indoors during winter. Support for installing doors on house walls. Fixed some mod conflicts. 0.1: Fixed the issue of roof position drifting relative to walls, with special thanks to @亚丹 for the analysis and solution. Also fixed abnormal roof display in some cases, such as roofs not showing in certain spots and roofs staying opaque in worlds without caves.
