It does what the name says! It lets you use magic to craft gems out of things you may have around your base!
Easy Mode: -5 flint -1 colored item (redcap, bluecap, greencap, pumpkin or honeycomb depending on the color gem you want to make) -2 nuggets
Normal Mode: -10 flint -2 colored items from above -4 nuggets
Hard Mode: -15 flint -3 colored items from above -6 nuggets
if you change the settings on a dedicated server it needs to be crafting = "easy" - - or "normal" or "hard".
