Horizontal Skill Casting

Rewrites character skill wheels into a horizontal layout, with highly customizable hotkey bindings and instant casting.

What does this mod do?

• Horizontal layout: Replaces the original radial skill wheel with a horizontal skill bar, positioned above the inventory by default
• Stays open: The wheel remains open after using a skill; right-click again or use the closing hotkey to close it
• Free dragging: Drag the wheel anywhere with the right mouse button, press the middle mouse button to reset, and save its position automatically
• Adaptive scaling: Automatically follows the game's HUD scale setting
• Hotkeys for every character: Assign dedicated hotkeys to supported character skills
• Instant casting: Cast directly with a hotkey and skip target selection
• Continuous casting: Automatically re-enter targeting after casting and support holding a hotkey for repeated casts
• Cooldown display: Shows cooldown timers for Willow and Wendy, while skill wheels display skill availability

• Maxwell - Shadow spells + Codex refueling + Top Hat hotkey
• Wendy - Abigail commands + Rile/Soothe toggle + Elixir basket hotkey
• Willow - Fire spells + automatic fire attacks + Fire absorption hotkey + Cooldown timer
• Walter - Woby command wheel + dash hotkey + Double-click dash toggle + Right-click mounting
• Winona - Remote command wheel
• Wickerbottom - Horizontal book wheel, with an option to switch back to the original radial wheel
• Wigfrid - Instant battle songs / song switching hotkeys + Lightning spear and shield attacks + Landing marker
• WX-78 - Shielding Circuit hotkey + One-click haunting of the nearest backup body

Hotkey Bindings

• Custom bindings: Assign dedicated hotkeys to skills for every supported character
• Instant casting: Enable all skills, disable all skills, or configure each skill individually
• Continuous casting: Hold a hotkey to cast repeatedly; right-click to cancel targeting
• Modifier keys: Selected features support Alt, Ctrl, and Shift modifiers
• Avoid conflicts: All hotkeys can be customized to avoid conflicts with other mods

Character-Specific Features

• Willow: Automatic fire attacks — automatically equips a lighter when attacking burnable targets, then restores the previous weapon; configurable HP threshold, fire absorption hotkey, and cooldown display
• Wigfrid: Three battle songs with instant casting and switching hotkeys; lightning spear/shield attack hotkey; landing marker and cooldown status display
• Walter: Dash hotkey; double-click dash toggle; right-click to mount or dismount Woby
• Maxwell: Codex refueling hotkey; shadow spell hotkeys; Top Hat hotkey
• WX-78: Shielding Circuit hotkey; one-click haunting of the nearest backup body

All hotkeys can be customized to avoid conflicts with other mods. The mod also improves WX-78 right-click module action synchronization when client-side mods add or modify actions such as Sonic or Shielding.

Settings and Usage

• Open Pause Menu → Settings → Controls → Horizontal Casting
• All hotkey and feature options are located at the top of the list
• Click Apply after making changes
• After switching wheel styles, reopen the skill wheel to see the new layout
• This is a client-side mod; other players usually do not need to install it

Notes

• Horizontal layout: Skills are arranged dynamically according to the skills currently available
• Hotkey setup: Configure each character's hotkeys before using them
• Instant casting: Works when casting through hotkeys; enable all, disable all, or configure skills individually
• Continuous casting: When enabled, manually targeted spells re-enter targeting after casting; right-click cancels targeting
• Cooldown display: Willow and Wendy support cooldown timers; other characters mainly display skill availability
• Willow fire attack HP threshold: Requires a server-side health display mod to check target HP; otherwise the target is always ignited
