A client-side Quality of Life mod that prevents you from accidentally destroying valuable items on their last use.

Have you ever accidentally used the last charge of your Lazy Explorer, wasted a Pan Flute, or consumed a precious Mandrake? This mod is for you! It acts as a safety net, stopping you from using certain items when they only have one use left, saving them from destruction.

Core Features

• Protects Your Gear: By default, stops the final use of a wide range of valuable items:

• Pan Flute & Beefalo Horn

• All of Wickerbottom's magical books
• Mandrakes

[*] Client-Side Only: No server setup required! You can use this on any server without affecting other players. It's your personal safety net.

[*] Fully Configurable: Don't want protection for a specific item? You can toggle each one on or off individually in the mod's configuration menu.

[*] Manual Override: Absolutely need to use that last charge? Simply hold down the Left Ctrl key while using the item to bypass the protection.

[*] Clear Feedback: Your character will speak and you'll hear a magic shield sound when a use is blocked. When you override, your character will announce the forced use, so you always know what's happening. Plus, characters like Wickerbottom, Maxwell, and Wurt have unique lines when protecting or using their treasured books! [/list]

The "Sixth Sense" Amulet Warning System!

Ever had your Life Giving Amulet shatter at the worst possible moment? Or has your Magiluminescence fizzled out, leaving you in the dark? Fear no more! This mod includes a fully configurable warning system to give you a heads-up before disaster strikes.

• Advanced Early Warning: Your character will now give a spoken warning when equipped amulets are about to break. The warning smartly triggers when an item has only one use left OR its durability drops below your set percentage, ensuring you're always alerted in time, even for low-use items like the Construction Amulet.
• Total Control: Don't like the chatter? You can toggle all amulet warnings on or off in the settings, and fine-tune the durability percentage (5% to 50%) for when the warning triggers. Your game, your rules.

Speaking Your Language! (Literally, 21 of Them)

Thanks to the incredible work of the community, Last Use Protector is now a global citizen! The mod will automatically detect your game's language, delivering fully translated, character-specific dialogue that keeps each survivor's personality intact.

How It Works

When an item on the protected list has only one use left (or is a Mandrake), any attempt to use it normally will be blocked. To use the item's final charge, simply hold down the Left Ctrl key and use the item as you normally would. This will override the protection for that single use.

Compatibility

This is a client-only mod and should be compatible with most other mods. It does not alter any core game functions in a way that should cause conflicts.
