Killing a Scrappy Werepig drops a Perpetual Motion Component Blueprint. Learning it unlocks the crafting recipe. Materials required: 5 Gears and 5 Scrap.
The Perpetual Motion Component can be used to upgrade Critters, tamed Beefalo, Ice Flingomatics, Ponds, and Sisturns.
An upgraded Ice Flingomatic requires no fuel, will not extinguish a Fire Pit, and is compatible with the Red Crystal Fire Pit and Blue Crystal Fire Pit from the Functional Medal mod.
An upgraded Critter gains a new appearance, will never go hungry, requires no feeding, and will not make noise due to hunger.
A Beefalo that has reached 100% Domestication can be upgraded into a Mechanical Beefalo, which will never lose Domestication.
An upgraded Pond will no longer spawn Frogs or Mosquitoes, will not freeze over in Winter, and can be used to draw water.
An upgraded Sisturn will permanently preserve Petals placed inside it, and will periodically spawn Flowers around it.
