Core Gameplay

■ Obtainment & Taming

● Wild Grass Gators no longer fear players wearing Bush Hat or Seawreath. Feed them vegetarian or roughage food, and they will become Friendly Grass Gator. ● You can get Great Tree Map from Wandering Trader / Pearl Shop to find Grass Gators faster. Don’t forget to bring the Grass Gator Bell and two hats. ● Friendly Grass Gators crave more types of food. Hunger restoration multiplier: Ocean Fish > Dried Fish = Leafy Meat = Seafood Dishes > Fish Meat > Vegetarian > Roughage. ● Like Beefalos, friendly Grass Gators can be tamed, equipped with saddles and ridden. They have 3 taming tendencies: [p]- Ornery: Triggers damage reflection when hunger exceeds 80. Higher hunger means higher reflection damage. Synergizes with Wormwood's "Thorn Shell Expert" skill.[/p] [p]- Rider: Faster speed in water, less hunger consumption and wetness gain for water actions. Gain extra speed from Growth Formula.[/p] [p]- Pudgy: 20% innate damage reduction. Consumes hunger to fertilize 1 farm plot or 3×3 area. 20 hunger restores 25 of each nutrient.[/p]

■ Amphibious Creature

● You can ride Grass Gators into the ocean. Higher taming allows deeper water; fully tamed can reach any depth. ● When scared by current depth, it will warn you with yell, then throw you off and dive away. ● When taming early, bring Personal Floater to remount while floating. ● Riding lets you flip Ocean Fish & Wobster. Catch them before landing, though flipping may kill them. ● Break Ocean Debris, uproot Bull Kelp, and salvage Sunken Heavy Object at hunger cost. ● Enter Whirlpool Portal, or retrieve thrown Bootleg Getaway in 30s by spending taming.

■ Plant Traits

● Fertilize with different types: Manure/Compost heal, Growth Formula gives speed buff, Tree Jam boosts taming. ● Grass Gators take more fire damage and burn longer, but water extinguishes flames; they can’t be ignited in water. ● When rider takes electric/ignite damage, Gator catches fire and throws you (can be disabled in config). ● Use Brush to raise taming and harvest grass.

■ Waterlogged Interaction

● You can ram Great Tree Trunk or Above-Average Tree Trunk to trigger the same effect as a boat ramming them. ● You can use Grass Gator Bell to hitch a Grass Gator near Above-Average Tree Trunk. Hitched Grass Gators will no longer lose taming progress. ● Pudgy-tendency Grass Gators can fertilize Above-Average Tree Trunk, with a small chance to increase the amount of Mossy Vine.

■ Grass Gator Bell

● Like Beefalo Bells, you can only carry one bound Grass Gator Bell at a time. ● Gloom Gator Bell: Preserves corpse on death and revives dead Grass Gators. ● Elastispace Gator Bell: Stores Grass Gator in the bell and heals it slowly.

■ Saddles & Knight Sets

● Equip Nightmare Saddle to turn water trail into shadow waves. ● Njord Saddle: Reduces rider wetness, boosts water speed, summons water pillars in aquatic combat. ● Pirate Saddle: Found in Sunken Chest / Pirate Stash. Knocks items off targets and heals on hit. ● Dragon Subduer Saddle: Lowers taming required to ride. Heats up on attack; higher temp deals higher fire damage. ● Knight Sets: New wooden/scaled armor & helmets. Equip any 2 with Gilded Knight's Costume for knockback immunity while riding. ● Lance Charge: Use lance charge while riding. Higher speed deals higher damage. Lances were meant to be used WHILE RIDING!!

■ Skins!!

● Grass Gator owner can use Clean Sweeper to change skins. ● 6 skins available: Blossom Gator, Pirate Ship, Crimson Gatorfiend, Lili Gator, Magma Gatordrake, Crocodile Mech WX-JB. More coming soon!!
