Randomly you can catch eel instead of fish (15% by default). Also if you are very lucky, you can get some additional junk with fish/eel (20% by default). If you want, you can enable gears (2% by default).
Note that Pig King will give you 5 gold for 1 eel. It's a kind of cheat, so it will be better if there is a small chances of eel and junk.
