⚒️ Every Craft Is a Roll of Fate

No two crafting results need to feel the same.

Newly crafted melee weapons and armor independently roll for **quality and strength**.

- **Quality (8 tiers):** Determines the designated damage, protection, and unique traits of the gear. - **Strength (0–10):** Provides corresponding stat bonuses and increased durability. - **Vanilla Baseline:** Normal quality at Strength 0 retains vanilla performance as the baseline.

Every craft brings a new possibility. You never know what your next creation might become.

🌟 Starlight Reserved for the Godlike

True perfection deserves to stand out—but never overwhelm the world around it.

Only gear with **Godlike quality and Strength 10** receives the exclusive pale-gold starlight effects:

- **Item Icons:** Subtle starbursts. - **On the Ground:** Occasional, gentle glimmers. - **While Held:** A faint golden glow. - **On Hit:** A brief flash when an attack connects.

A restrained visual reward for gear that reaches the very top.

⚔️ Every Weapon Has a History

A weapon can be more than a set of stats. It can carry a record of its own journey.

Forging records track:

- **Crafter:** The name of the player who made the weapon. - **Forging Day:** The in-game day it was crafted. - **Boss Record:** The types and number of major bosses it has been credited with defeating.

**How boss credit works**

To earn credit for a boss kill, a weapon must deal effective damage strictly greater than **30% of that boss's maximum health** during the encounter, and the boss must ultimately be defeated. The final blow is not required.

- Each weapon tracks its own contribution independently. - Switching weapons does not combine their contributions. - Uncredited contributions are cleared when combat ends. - Multi-phase bosses are recorded only after their final defeat. - Existing gear without forging records will not have historical records generated retroactively.

Your weapon's record is earned through battle, not simply by being present.

🔎 Lightweight Tooltips, More Information When You Need It

Keep your inventory clean and readable without sacrificing useful information.

- **Default View:** Quality, strength, and a one-line summary of active traits. - **Hold Shift:** Expand the tooltip to view forging records, boss statistics, and detailed attributes. - **Controller Support:** Use the corresponding inspect action.

The essentials stay visible. The details are only a keypress away.

🌍 Multiplayer & Installation

Wyrdsmith is a **multiplayer server mod, not a client-only mod**.

- The host/server must enable the mod. - Every player must have the mod loaded. - After subscribing, enable it under the world's **Server Mods** settings.

For your first run, testing in a backup or a new world is recommended.

Wyrdsmith is currently in public beta.

Project-level checks and native server validation have been completed against build 756039.

Balance is still being refined. Real client-side visuals, two-player gameplay, and compatibility with complex combinations of mods still need further player testing and feedback.
