For over 10,000 years the Emperor of Mankind has sat upon his Golden Throne, an impossibly complex device that has not only sustained his decaying life, but become an instrument of phenomenal power allowing him to direct his titanic physic powers towards keeping the forces of the Warp at bay. These chaotic forces threaten to break through and lay waste our beloved galaxy without The Protector on his throne, keeping all humankind safe. Unfortunately, the ability to repair the Golden Throne, which is slowly failing, was beyond our current understanding…

Let it be known, that 47 standard Terran years ago, members of our order, the Adeptus Mechanicus, recovered a Standard Template Construct that was 89% intact in the Agrax sector of our galaxy. Among many trillions of salvageable terabytes of data that had been lost to us since the Dark Age of Technology over 15 millennia ago, was the template of our Holy Emperor’s Golden Throne.

This template was intact and with the information contained therein, the Golden Throne was quickly and efficiently repaired. More importantly, Priests of the Cult Mechanicus under direct supervision of the Fabricator General have been able to replicate the Golden Throne on a Starship, with newly discovered technology giving the Emperor of Mankind the ability to contain the forces of the Warp and broadcast his light anywhere within our galaxy… For the Glory of the Emperor is above any Earth, and all humankind is continually before his gaze!

Exterminatus, The Emperor’s Throne Ship, one of the largest Imperial ships ever assembled, bears the vessel of the Emperor. It is attended by The Watchers of the Throne; the Adeptus Custodes. Never before has a Gloriana-class Battleship of this size, beauty and function been launched from the shipyards here on Mars. For over 40 years, 2 million servitors, priests and other laborers were involved in constructing this behemoth to exacting requirements and detail.

Vast quantities of combat strength Adamantium were required to completely insulate Exterminatus from the fiercest of attacks. Over 200 Plasma, Artillery, Canon and Mini Gun turrets fashion the worst of nightmares for any enemy within proximity to Exterminatus. Be warned, at 172 Kilotons, Exterminatus is meant to ply the heavens between planets and stars. Planetary landings should not be attempted as this would partially negate the effectiveness of the amplified energy the Emperor is able to direct via the Golden Throne onboard Exterminatus. Atmospheric disembarks are acceptable.

The “Throne Ship” has the capacity to field a squadron of fighters, as well as providing direct Jump Points for battle bound Custodes with Jetpacks, or Dreadnaughts so equipped. Fuel requirements for such a ship are also great. Our Priests are still scratching their metal appendages as to why thrusters when powered down consume any energy at all, let alone 10 MW of power! Perhaps future updates of the Standard Template Construct will provide answers…

Two pulpits are provided for Centurion leaders to address and edify the Adeptus Custodes. Ample Apothecary and Manufactorum facilities are also available. 6 main advanced constructors and 2 additional constructors dedicated to munitions manufacturing are found aboard Exterminatus…
