I would like to start off by saying NO this is not some super massive ship with walls 5 blocks thick! If that is what you are looking for look away.. Look far far away!
Now that that is out of the way, I would like to introduce you to the Ambassador. She was built over the course of the 4.0 experimental branch time and so far is my best creation. She was designed to be a diplomatic embracery ship used to conduct negotiations with foreign factions. The front of the ship is equipped with a fly through hanger that has a repair block in the center and ramps in the front in case you have a HV to load. Above the hanger is the living quarters fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, crew quarters, captains quarters, and lounging area. Along with wrap around windows and wall to wall wood flooring. The mid-section of the ship is the factory and cargo bay area. The rear of the ship houses the main generator, the elevator that leads up to the bridge and backup generators, down to the warp drive and garden area, and to the wings that hold the fuel. There are also LED screens throughout the ship to label each location. There is also a SV landing pad on each wing just in case the hanger is full or your SV just doesn’t fit. Also, all of the thrusters are accessible from the inside and are not blocked or hidden inside the ship. Just in case they ever implement it to where thrusters damage the blocks in from of them.
As far as turrets go I left it pretty blank. Why? Because everyone likes their own turret configuration and I put just enough on there to give it some defenses against drones or that stray SV that keeps buzzing by. All blocks used are large combat steel and only the vital stuff (fuel tanks, generators, etc) are protected by 2+ blocks just in case you run into trouble. So she can take some hits if your diplomacy efforts go astray.
Sorry if the inside looks bland in some areas. I’m really not an interior designer but I try. I did base the bridge shell off of the Hakon by Mr.IceCat because I think it is a great design and fit perfectly.
Any comments, suggestions, and improvements are welcome and if I like the suggestion I’ll try to implement it.
