The Ursa Mining Corporation is proud to present the Badgermole SV miner for Reforged Galaxy and Reforged Eden.

The Badgermole is a "No Frills" miner. As in no armor locker, no o2 station, no constructor, no medical anything, and no fridge.

All she has are drills, Wifi, a detector and a very compact frame that allows her to spin circles in any secret tunnel she may carve.

Upgrading

At spawn she runs 9.8K of 12k CPU, which gives you just enough CPU to upgrade all of the engines to Advanced Medium Thrusters at lv 10.

At level 12, there is room to add a light shield generator and a Pentaxid tank. (Remove the cockpit and there are places marked for both behind it.) You can further upgrade the downward force by replacing the back two engines with Advanced Large Thrusters (the 3x1x1 kind). This will put you just over CPU, but at 97%+ efficiency it has not been a problem in testing.

At level 15 the Badgermole can be further upgraded to use laser drills. However, to do this, you will first need to upgrade the generators and CPU. Remove the cockpit, shield, and all three generators. Also remove the truss block in front of the generators on each side. Replace the two side generators with the Advanced small generators (the 3x1x1 kind) and place the improved CPU where the third generator was in the back. Finally replace the shield and cockpit.

Note that laser drills stick out a little further than the mechanical drills, and also require a lot more energy to use, so while the Badgermole will drill faster, it will not be as maneuverable in the borehole, and she will have a decreased operational time, meaning you will need to top off her fuel tanks more often.

The primary harvest controller has 7.9k storage which works out to over 2800 copper ore in volume. Weight wise, the Badgermole will have no issues with this (once upgraded) on a 1g plant. At higher gravity (Tested at up to 2.8g), you will want to keep a CV nearby to dump into just to be safe, but she will still drill fairly well.

There is a 434 unit Ammo controller upfront to keep the two mini-guns socked.
