Basilisk Advanced Weapons Platform UPDATED 10.5

J. Randall's Basilisk continues to be my all time favorite tank. The aesthetic, capability, and survivability of the platform keep me coming back to it. It has aged well, but there have been many improvements in armor, weapons, and software tech since it was first introduced. This is the upgraded and retrofitted Basilisk Advanced Weapons Platform. Basilisk Advanced Weapons Platform (Class 3 HV, unlock level 20)

Primary roles: POI Combat, Raiding, MOB Defense, PVE, Coop Secondary roles: Mobile Base, Salvaging, Light mining, Storage

The Basilisk Advanced Weapons Platform is a fully retrofitted variant of the Basilisk HWP. It comes with all quality of life features with the exception of mining drills (it does have a mining turret though). This platform has multiple layers of redundancy for enhanced survivability. It features an uparmored and shielded superstructure as well as hardened and uparmored life support systems. The interior has undergone a major overhaul. Due to the increased armor and additional equipment agility has been significantly impacted, however with the optional 'Overdrive' active, performance is substantially increased.

Offense\Defense

The superstructure is built of 95% combat armor and also includes lag shot in several places. Newly installed shields allow for more tactical use of the AWP. It has the maximum allowed weapons/turrets in standard game rules, and also features separation and redundancy for high survivability during engagements. The entry/exits have been made into proper airlocks and double walled to help prevent taking internal damage if the external doors are destroyed. The internal cockpit has been fire-walled from the rest of the interior. In the 'Battle Mode' thruster shielding comes online and all weapons activate. If you aren't expecting heavy resistance, you can simply switch on 'Mob defense' which will consume less power and only activate the heavy machine guns (including the new underbelly guns.) The AWP has a rapid insertion/extraction capability which allows a two man team to be dropped off or picked up from an active battlefield with minimal time delay.

Mobile Base

The interior has undergone a total overhaul and contains plenty of survival needs including 2 medium storage arrays, clone chamber, medical station, fridges, 02, constructors, harvest and ammo arrays, and armor lockers. In addition, it features sensor based doors, lights, and ramp + switches for exterior lights and a 'BattleMode.' It also has two switches you can customize for your particular use-case. 'Mob Defense' provides 360 degree protection from all predators and drones within range of the AWP.
