This base is made for lore friendly gameplay, it is not effective, it is not overpowered. But you can extend it for any purpose, using it to build a bigger or mightier base or you can use it as point from where you start exploring the dark and unkown space.
Purpose: Orbiting a planet as an supply unit for deep space missions. It has a very small but functional interior, so you can refuel O2 and using cargo space for storing resources. In addition you can rebuild parts to extend its functionality.
