The Claymore-class was originally planned as a replacement for the old Kirov-class aviation cruisers but was never actually built. Years later, the need for a treaty compliant warship arose once more and the Claymore-class was finally brought to life. Following the same basic design as the Kirov-class, the Claymore-class is larger with more hangar and storage space, with four advanced constructors and 18 grow plots allowing for food and ammo production on the go. The ship is capable of planetary landing with ramps for disembarking HVs on planetary assault. An internal repair bay allow for repairing small craft in the field.

Although the ship is not as heavily armoured as comparable battleships and dreadnoughts, she is shielded and armed to the max with a variety of turrets. Main weapons are arranged in a broadside fashion for line-of-battle combat tactics.

Broadside weapons can be controlled by piloting the ship from one of the sideways-facing control stations on the gun deck or bridge (ship controls will also be sideways).
