Corsica | CV | UL10 | Explorer

USS Corsica is a Size Class 3, Unlock Level 10 Exploration vessel. The ship was constructed as an upgradeable, entry level vessel that will allow you to maximize the service life of the CV.

The hull is a single hull made from steel; as such, it is not intended to be used to engage enemy ships or installations. With upgrades to the hull, shield projector, and weapons systems it is possible to turn the ship in to one capable of engaging lightly defended enemy vessels or space stations.

Corsica's large hanger should allow for carrying multiple small HVs while providing enough space for future heavier vehicles. The external landing pad is large enough to support multiple small SVs or a single moderately sized one.

There is plenty of room for upgrades to the vessel including:

1. A larger shield generator 2. Additional power generators 3. Upgraded thrusters 4. A teleporter pad 5. Additional fuel tanks 6. More CPU extensions 7. Additional storage

Signal Descriptions: (accessible via the ship's main control "P" menu)

SpaceDefense - Activates space based weaponry

GroundDefense - Activates ground based weaponry

Hanger - Opens hanger doors and ramps

ExternalLights - Turns on/off external position and signal lighting

MotionSensors - Disables the motion sensors for the hanger door

Important Notes:

The ship is not designed to engage in ship to ship combat and relies primarily on SV cover. In it's basic configuration, with engines off but shields and weapons enabled standby time is approximately 10 hours.
