Cylon Basestar

Inspired by the Classic Cylon Basestar from the original show. Finally something to give all those replica Battlestars running around something to shoot at.

Size Class: 17 Unlocks: level 15 v8.x

Made from hardened steel. If you upgrade it to combat steel you're going to need to add more thrusters if you plan to take it planetside. The ship isn't made to land on a planet but if there's interest I'll make one with landing gear.

The saucer sections are largely hollow so there's room for more ammo, fuel, etc.

Weapons: 6x Cannon turrets 6x Mini-gun turrets 8x Sentry Guns 4x Rocket turrets

There's room for more of course including a spot in the very center of the saucer section specifically for an artillery turret. One up top and one on the bottom.

The ship features three major decks.

Command Deck: This is located at the top of the ship. This is where you'll find the Throne Room for the Imperious Leader(i.e. the cockpit), living quarters, manufacturing, a lab/medical bay, and a hydroponics section. The gravity generator is also on this level as well as exterior access to the ship.

Hangar Bay: This is located in the center. There's room for 4-5 cylon raiders. Entry to the hangar is through double doors, one on each side of the ship.

Engineering: This is located on the lowest level of the ship. This is where you'll find the repair station, generators, fuel, warp drive, etc.

Since the ship is symmetrical it might be a little difficult to find your way around at first. Here's some handy tips for doing so. The very middle of Engineering is where you'll find the warp drive, warp fuel tank, repair console, and repair station. There are multiple entry points into this area. The four corners of Engineering are all the same and all have stairs leading up to the Hangar bay. It's very easy to find your way in and back out.

Elevators in the Hangar go up to the Command level. LCD signs will point you in the direction you want to go here and each section has a different colored decoration out front(living-blue, med bay-red, cargo-yellow, food-green) so you can quickly tell where you are just by looking. The pilot's chair is in the very middle of this level with corridors leading into that room from three sides.

This ship would probably make a decent AI opponent. Convert it to combat steel, toss a bunch more turrets on it, and you'd have something fairly challenging to take down. =)
