Update 07/05/2017: Unfortunately even small bases like this are no longer super cheap to build. I finally updated this to get it to work with the current version of the game, although now it will cost a bit more in resources. Although since the resource cost of everything has gone up equally, I suppose this is still considered "cheap" to build.
Great starter base has everything you need, cheap! You can build it with the starting resources as soon as you hit level 3. Add fuel, power it on, use the Large Constructor to make ammo for the turret and you're set.
Iron - 623 Silicon - 177 Copper - 90 Cobalt - 85 Rock Dust - 50
Components
1 - Small Fuel Tank (in floor) 1 - Small Generator 1 - Large Constructor 1 - Food Processor 1 - Fridge T1 1 - Cannon Turret 1 - Small Ammo Box 1 - Cargo Box 1 - Light
It even has some room left over for a grow light and some planters (see the pictures above). I call it "Driftwood and Marble", but it's 100% all steel construction, not wood! Enjoy!
Note: Due to changes in the Large Constructor and Food Processor in alpha 4.0, the ones included in this base may need to be replaced. Check both of them to see if they have "output" slots in the lower-left. If the output slots are missing, you need to replace the item (in my test I only had to replace the Food Processor). I would normally update the blueprint to fix this issue, however, since alpha 4.0 also changed the resource cost of base and CV blocks, if I update the blueprint the cost would change to 810 iron ingots. For now, the cost appears to still be based on the old-style blocks. Thus, I'm leaving this BP as-is for now.
Note 2: You may need to re-color the outside of the base if you want it to match the pictures. Apparently the developers have made other changes that affect the way the blocks look. When I spawned this base after update 4.0, the outside was white rather than gray.
