The Tranquility is a late model Firefly class mid-bulk transport designed for Empyrion: Galactic Survival. She differs from Serenity's model in that she is composed entirely of combat steel, includes an onboard hydroponics garden, and features dual T1 large generators rather than a single engine.

In 1400 hours of playing Empyrion, she is the ship I've longed most for, and in building her I felt nothing but love for the project (which is a change from the usual banging of my head into my keyboard :)). Even the painting of her hull, at which I'm normally just awful, came quickly and smoothly.

I didn't make my usual mistakes of wondering how it would be received, or comparing the build to the talented brilliance of others here on the workshop. I didn't worry about the subs, the performance, or the practicality of it. I simply let the love in and this is what it gave me. A home.

*********************************************** Practical Notes: It takes a while to reach the cockpit, and the cargo bay wasn't designed for anything much bigger than a ladybug. 2 Small vessels can land on her wings with direct access to the upper gantry hall, and there is room on her back for an artillery cannon mount and additional turrets (Feel free to troll some reavers into an Alliance blockade on your day off). She features a full-combat steel carapace, but I wouldn't take it into PVP. If you find yourself in a bad situation, she can take a pounding and still reach warp velocity. The landing gear "Legs" can be removed for additional thrust performance if you so choose (They're heavy combat steel and handy for landing flat on uneven terrain, but they are also optional).
