I really thought this was going to be an afternoon build... But, no. lol.
A change of pace compared to what I've been working on, I had an Idea for a small escort CV. One thing lead to another and here we are, the Grim Redoubt.
Where to start... Well, this thing, is in my eyes simply a e s t h e t i c. Turned out great me thinks.
It is fast, agile, a mere 5k blocks and is very heavily armed.(Still within game limits for CV guns too) There is a small hanger on the underside that you can fit a small SV in. *cough*myfighterfits*cough*
It will guzzle your gas in atmo though even for it's small size so be warned.
Interior is pretty cramped due to the design but alas, you'll look good on the outside and thats all that matters. On that note I was going to paint it but grey is just such a wonderful colour :P.
The ship has all the "amenities" of a CV ( except no farms) and ofcourse is entirely combat steel. I think this may actually be pretty viable ship for PVP after a few modifications and will probably update with a PVP specific/fuel friendly version later.
In all a very fun build.
