That's right, this is a proven Dreadnought killing CV. It comes in at only class 5, but weighs in at a whopping 101 KT, this CV is made to go punch for punch against the Dreadnought & take it down!
This ship is fully vanilla compliant, as it has the proper container controllers & extensions, and does not violate any block or turret limit rules. Also, since it's only class 5, it's able to be spawned in almost ANY server, making this a viable ship for your day to day play. The interior of this ship is pretty basic (to help keep class down), but has most necessities. However, this ship does required an Advanced Core, or CPU disabled.
The key to this ship is the front "hammerhead" section. Buried & spread inside this section are all 12 cannon turrets, hidden behind many layers of combat steel. When designing this ship, I intentionally placed all 12 of these further forward on the ship than the Plasma & Rocket turrets visible on the top deck, to draw all enemy turret fire at these cannons. This design works amazing during my encounters!
During my battles against the Dreadnought, they've never been able to fully penetrate the hammerhead to destroy the cannon turrets, much less even start focusing on my Plasma/Rocket turrets, or start aiming at my generators & warp drive. I focused all of my Rocket Launcher fire towards the cockpit/core until I killed it, and can usually accomplish that in less than 10 minutes.
Building this ship is not cheap, but it will yield you massive returns by farming those Dreadnoughts! Between all of the blocks & loot containers, they are worth the price to kill!
