Gave the humble box plus a much needed update. It's still a starter base only requiring small amounts of early game material to build, while offering good protection with four 30mm cannons and room to expand with doors located on each side. There's also 4 sentry guns for those pesky critters running around your base.
The solar panels are enough to power the base by themselves as long as the constructor isn't left processing materials permanently, but there is a small generator once you have the fuel for it.
There's a landing pad on the roof for your first SV and 2 spaced walls of concrete offer more than adequate protection from drones.
Base is airtight and ready for off world adventures.
I had some fun and spent time rearranging and decorating much of the inside to give it a more immersive feeling, like something a person might actually work in. Very utilitarian, kept the CPU below 80k.
