Featured in Spanj's video of "10 MUST HAVE BLUEPRINTS FOR EMPYRION GALACTIC SURVIVAL V.1" https://youtu.be/CD7x6vcJcQk?t=674

Playing around Alpha 12, I started an Eden scenario. And with a hard start, I immediately noticed that I needed a better starter hover vehicle.

Being a lazy guy, I started checking workshop for some starter HV's. I wanted something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, has good pitch / yaw controls so I can aim my gatling precisely, has everything I needed from start, yet upgradeable at lvl 7 with drills.

And of course, something looking good, yet doesn't get weighed down with a lot of blocks and can fit inside a mining tunnel.

I couldn't find any suitable HV for myself, so I started crafting my own, and Juno was born. And I managed to factory craft it with only mining surface rocks on my first day of the next playthrough (get a shotgun asap, it helps leveling 3-5 a lot). And second day, with added drills and getting to level 7, I mined a huge amount of crushed rocks and started my base.

Enough tooting of my horn and let's talk about Juno. I haven't included wireless so cost stayed low, haven't included drills so level requirement stayed 5 and haven't added the armor locker because sometimes you start with a light armor already. And also, the cost. Yet, Juno has reserved spots for all of those, and upgradeable within the T1 CPU limit.

Drills added, with a single small generator, I haven't hit more than 98% power gen mark. People playing "Galaxy Reforged" mod might need to add some extra generators tho, and can use one of the upgrade slots for that.

Juno's center of mass does not shift when playing with volume/mass turned on and you mine a full cargo of ore (14-15 tons). Empty center of mass is pretty close to loaded CoM, and both centers sit directly on top of the included RCS.

Yeah, I added RCS. Since planetary starter hover vessels has no need for up / down thrusters, if you don't add an RCS to them, they have very slow pitch movement. And spiders / fast dinos are really hard to kill with a limited pitch movement vehicle. Juno has 91 degrees pitch and 87 degrees yaw speed, and that makes aiming that gatling a lot easier, even when the vehicle is fully loaded with cargo.

I added an O2 tank, yet didn't add a O2 station. I think 99% of the time you fill a starter vessel's O2 tanks with emergency O2 or small O2 bottles. And those can be consumed by players to fill your suit O2 anyways.

There is a "ECO Shutdown" signal on control panel. It shuts down all thrusters, RCS, gatling gun; but your fridge/constructor remains on. It's practical to use for conserving your fuel, while not stopping construction or spoiling your starter food.

Later added mechanical drills should be added to "Drills" group. And signal config should be "Eco Shutdown - Off". That shuts off your drills when you do a ECO shutdown, yet does not turn them on when you wake up from the ECO shutdown (screenshot included).

PSA; Since Juno has limited thrusters to keep the cost low, you shouldn't dig mining tunnels steeper than -30 degrees. The translational thrusters might not keep up with the added weight of ore. 20-25 degrees mining is pretty safe for Juno, and she climbs easily back the mine tunnel.

And, as always, thank you for reading, and have fun with your Juno Starter HV :)
