In the 18th century, mighty "ships of the line" roamed the sea, protecting shipping from pirates and privateers. In the world of Empyrion, piracy is still a threat, and a new ship-of-the-line is needed.
Enter the Man Of War, a truly capital vessel whose captain need not fear the threat from agile small vessels or being out-gunned by any but the largest enemy capital vessels.
This ship features 162 turrets (22 Artillery, 42 Plasma, 65 Minigun, 22 Rocket, 11 Flak), 21 Pulse Lasers, 22 Sentry Guns, 2 main cockpits, 2 massive hangars (one above for SVs and one under for HVs) and a magazine that has 20 Large Ammo Boxes with 4 dedicated Advanced Constructors to fill them, as well as 4 more dedicated Advanced Constuctors for Ore and Promethium processing. There are 68 T3 fuel tanks that provide endurace and range to this large CV both in orbit and in Atmosphere.
As it sits in this blueprint is a low Class 5 at 1033 devices, and can easily be a Class 4 with the removal of the deco items at the back of the Blue Deck, as they aren't essential.
Owner's Manual (or "Things You Should Know"):
- The arrows point to the way out.
- All the guns are numbered outside and have corresponding names in the Control Panel. This is to make it easier to find a gun facing the right direction in a fight and to help with repair (this was done before repair blocks). They are listed as "Fwd/Left/Right/Aft", with a color that represents the row they are on, and the number of the gun.
- There are "Orbital Thrusters" , i.e. directional thrusters, that are seperated from the rest of the thrusters in the Control Panel, so the 134 regular thrusters can be shut down in orbit to save fuel. These are located in the bow of the HV deck.
- In the front of both decks there are areas for SV/HV repair, though the 1 allowed repair block is on the SV deck.
- Also in the front of the SV deck is a door leading to the pulse lasers, so they can be repaired/replaced without having to leave the ship.
- in the very front of the main deck is a room that was available due to the gun layout but I had no clue what to do with. Have fun!
