Merc-MX12 Heavy (SV Class 3, Unlock Level 15)

7/27/2020 - This ship is dated and is not able to work with A12 CPU limits in any kind of nice way. I modded a version that works but the cuts needed are severe and disrupt both the looks and function. At this time this ship is Legacy only and should be used only if not playing with CPU option on. Primary roles: Heavy Fighter, Storage, Warp, Alpha 10, Shield, Drone Hatch, 1st and 3rd person secure cockpit

The Merc-MX12H was designed to be a flying tank, featuring the toughest armor of any Merc ship to date. Combined with a shield, ample storage, and solid protection for the pilot, the ship is now being deployed with forward battle groups to face a distant threat posed by a hostile and dangerous race known as the Kriel.

Survival features

Besides being built extra tough, the ship also has a good amount of utility features such as 11K storage, 6K ammo storage, o2 and station, armor locker, 2 constructors, 2 fridges, 5 additional large cargo boxes, WiFi, Detector, 1st person and 3rd person secure cockpit. Also, storage and the pentaxid tank have been evened out for proper weight distribution. The ship also features a drone hatch with internal switch control, exterior lights, and standard and performance modes flight modes.

Offense and Defense

The hull is built with layered hardened steel with a lot of lag shot protection from all directions but extra heavy on the front. The two entry points being the rear door and drone hatch are thick with triple doors. The rear door also has a internal fire wall for added protection. The ship comes with 6 gatling guns, 4 homing rocket launchers, and 4 rail guns. Parts are distributed all over the ship in redundancy to be able withstand heavy damage and still be operational. To allow for maximum pilot safety, a secure internal cockpit was also installed in addition to the armored front cockpit.

Update 9/22/19 - When Thruster/RCS is off, Performance mode thrusters also turn off. Thank you for the circuit help jeremymtc! I really appreciate it!

Fixed wrong colored glass piece and detailed rear thruster area's more with texturing. No change to stats or cost.
