The Merc-MX5T is an upgraded variant of the Merc-MX5E. It is a bit more expensive and requires player level 12 vs 10, however still requires no rare resouces. This variant is designed for hit and run tactical combat as well as exploration and utility but remains fairly inexpensive. Like the MX5E it is not a tough ship. It relies on speed, agility, and a good pilot for taking on such things as defended POI's. Designed to line up on your target, fire, and flee, hopefully avoiding enemy fire. After all, the best block is not to be there. Also to note, some screenshots show this with addtional weapons beyond 4 gattling guns. This ship however only comes with 4 gattling guns but has 8 additional weapon mount points.

Variant features and changes from the the MX5E:

1. Unlocks at player level 12 (+2 player levels) 2. Requires no rare materials (Same) 3. 3 constructors, 2 fidges, armor rack, 15 large storage boxes, 4 ammo boxes (+1 Constuctor +2 ammo boxes) 4. Oxygen and o2 dispensor (Same) 5. Automatic lights/doors/ramps (Same) 6. 4 Gattling guns and 8 additional weapon mount points (+4 Weapon mount points) 7. Mostly Inexpensive. 8. Warp Drive (Same) 9. Passanger seat (Same) 10. Greatly increased speed and manuverabilty 11. Alternative paint job 12. Extended landing gear to accommodate for larger thrusters. (2 blocks taller, 2 blocks longer)

Note: I left many of the thrusters mostly exposed so you could see the excellent new models for them in alpha 8. Also, with a ship like this, not able to withstand hard hitting defenses etc., it is best to stay clear, pick your target and move in quickly for the kill (Normally firing a volley of 4 rockets at POI turrets) and get out of there as fast as possible avoiding incoming fire if doable. As always, it is recommended to bring spare parts such as cockpit, core, fuel tank, generator, and RCS, maybe even spare thrusters and blocks, enough to get the ship going again if heavily damaged in the field.

*This ship requires Alpha 8. It will not be able to spawn in alpha 7.x.
