The Merc-MX-Assault is small combat SV designed around POI combat. It comes stock with good anti shield and hull weaponry, turret protection for ground and drone threats, and utility to get the job done.

Stock Features

The Merc-MXA comes stock with an advanced shield, 8 medium plasma launchers, 2 gatling turrets, clone chamber, passenger seat, o2 and dispenser, armor locker, trauma station, fridge, constructor, 3 storage boxes, 8500 Ammo bay, drone hatch/quick interior access to and from prefab cockpit, force field canopy, advanced detector, wifi, and many upgrade options.

Upgrade options

The MXA has locations for 2 auxiliary cores, 2 quantum cores, 2x additional small and 3x medium shield parts, warp drive, and 2 additional launchers, SV fusion reactor, and outside wing access doors to remove existing generators.

Offense and Defense

The Hull is built with steel with some hardened steel in select locations. The front nose area has additional layers of armor also with a fairly high hit point force field canopy installed. It comes with an advanced shield + 1 small shield capacitor and charger with locations to add 3x medium and 2x small additional shield parts. It comes with 8 medium plasma launchers and 2 gatling turrets (top and bottom) with 2 extra launcher mount points.

Notes: I tried to make it as easy as possible to get from the interior to the prefab cockpit and back from the prefab cockpit to the interior. This was done with an automatic drone hatch located directly behind the cockpit.

This build is using a force field canopy but not over the cockpit. Instead it is using it to add additional hit points to the front underside of the build. You can see this on the build but tends to look mostly hidden.

If you want to find the 2 2x3 generators, I installed access doors on the sides of the build in between outer wing parts. If you upgrade to fusion reactor, you may want to remove those generators to free up additional CPU.

The ship does use mostly plasma thrusters stock. The two strafing thrusters near the front are small ion thrusters mainly as decoys and do not provide much performance.
