MMC Valeru

Introducing the Valeru MMC, the latest build from Filbert Shipyards!

Built for the Anvill Designers Challenge for March 2021 (Modular CV systems)

The Valeru MMC (Mojura Module Carrier) is built to serve as a modular mobile base for a single player or smaller faction. The ship itself features full functionality (especially if you throw in a quantum or aux core) freeing up the user to outfit the Mojura modules of their choice to fit their play style. Want an economical cargo ship, dock 6 cargo pods. Want a mobile farm, dock some farm pods. Want a multi-function base, dock an assortment of pods to add function and stretch what this carrier can do!

The docking bays are copied from theScriptHD's Mojura carrier so any Mojura Pods will work with the Valeru MMC, including some of my own versions...

The Drop pod has been built specifically for the Valeru MMC, as the Valeru has one pod bay that is not like the others. One of the bays has a hangar door that 'mates' with the one on the side of the drop pod allowing for loading and unloading of small HV/SV's into the drop pod. The top of the drop pod has ramps so you can dock larger HV tanks like the A.R.S.E Tank on top.

The way a typical planetary operation using the Valeru might go is like this: Warp in and park at the star playfield with your carrier, angle so the flight deck faces the sun to charge the solar batteries (and don't forget to drop a waypoint on the carrier so you can find your way home!). Take your preferred combat CV (docked on the large topside flight deck of the MMC) and warp out to whichever planet you want to invade. Use the combat CV to clear the sector of all patrol vessels and stations that are hostile, warp back to the carrier and bring it into the now cleared sector. You can leave the ship in orbit and use the drop pod to take your kit down to the planet. If you need something you can teleport between the drop pod and carrier in orbit.

The Valeru has been my home on the Anvil Re Community Server and it has been a very fun change of pace, and the perfect tool for stretching your legs across the stars or as a base of operations while you conquer the Zirax menace!
