PMW's entry for Xcaliber's Anvil designers challenge of august; starter CV T1. Akaei (stingray) Class prototype for the Akua Navy. Drone hunter class. serial number 1: Deep Space Exploration Vessel Aotaka (Blue Hawk).
this is upgradable to mid game vessel. carbon with steel around core components and hangar. A level 12 upgrade package is available, PMW suggest downloading it along with this BP. Level 15 ready; repair console included in the upgrade package, at level 15 you can add a repair bay and a teleporter.. maybe slap some rocket launchers under the wings?
deadlines to be made. LCDs to be finished. Signal logic to be checked a final time. And a weight and "combat" test, had not been performed yet, but PMW was confident enough to submit this entry to the august design challenge. And rightly so. After submitting the first prototype to the Anvil designers challenge, PMW produced another Akaei class, to be subjected to a combat test. She performed like expected; the middle/core was able to withstand some incoming fire.. the carbon parts of the ship are pretty vulnerable. Light weight comes at a cost! (PMW advises to don't take her fighting, she can defend against drones, but even than a shield is recommended). PMW is deeply sorry for the delay in the production of this prototype. pinkies will be cut. Yurushite, forgiveness.
This vessel is fully ready for CPU TIER 2 upgrading. Currently at 95% efficiency, but that will only affect you till level 12 when you can install the upgrade package. 4 modest cargo systems that you can easily expand in the hull to the 320.000 maximum. Room for 8 turrets in total. 10 if you add mounting points to the rear of the ship. or slap some on the wings even.. though fixed weapons would look nicer there.. Build with midgame needs in mind. Big hangar to store HVs and SVs, you could add a (partial) grated floor halfway, for small SVs? Or store your huge tall HV tanks in it.. Lot of furniture you can also use to store things in, lot of RP value and fluff (as usual), but the main/most used components are all located around the central elevator and hangar entry. Places to install upgrades are plentiful throughout the whole vessel. Instructional LCDs for the upgrading / beginning players. Big plateau for a rear deck where you can basically fit pretty much anything, be it unshielded. Lot of hollow blocks used as extra lag shot catchers, most of the ship is carbon, dont forget to upgrade the hull to steel. There are 2 switches next to the elevator, one on de bridge deck and one in the operations room. These are standby switches. There is also a P-menu option for standby. Either of these engage the standby mode. The same switch needs to be switched back to green to make cruise mode available again. (if all are green the ship is in cruise mode). More vessels in this style are in development phase.

This CV was made for the august Anvil design challenge, hosted by Xcaliber; build a starter CV you would use in gameplay.
