Pear's Motor Works proudly presents a new industrial bulk transporter, the Toriyuso X-2210 C. This cheap, warp capable, SV can haul 32.000 units of cargo with ease. A turret on the roof will warn you for incoming enemies. This is an entry for the 8th ZeroG design challenge. In her current form she flies decent already, turning is a tad slow, but if you tilt a bit and than use the upwards thrusters to turn.. she actually flies pretty sharp!
The Toriyuso (transport bird in Japanese) was designed around PMW's new containers, but the Akuan Navy is showing interest in this VTOL transporter too.. rumours are that PMW is contracted for a prototype with a bit less cargo capacity and more offensive capabilities.. possibly even fitting a small HV.. In it's current form the Toriyuso has a fairly sturdy steel hull; a shield and more weapons can easily be installed with a CPU tier3 upgrade. That should also leave some room to upgrade thrusters. All thrusters (except forward) can be upgraded, just remove a steel block behind them, to fit bigger ones. Extra forward thrusters can be installed; remove the grey 'air ducts' next to the cockpit. In the back of the vessel is plenty of room around the warp core for T3 extenders, a shield, more generators, fuel tanks, etc. Removing the warp core temporarily, makes installing upgrades easier. In the cabin is a spot for a constructor, an extra container for output is installed there too. Other features are air-conditioning, a drone hatch, a fridge, passenger seat, bed, armour locker and a modest ammo storage. Use the lift thrust to your advantage, brake by tilting the nose up when carrying heavy loads! When you exit the cockpit, there is a switch to turn off all the thrusters manually, to safe fuel whilst being stationary and keep the fridge running. In the P menu you can do the same thing of course. Automated ramps, cabin light, and p menu commands for the navigation lights and the spot lights.
This is an entry for the 8th ZeroG challenge of this year; build a T2 transport SV Hop in on the fun, there is more ZeroG challenges running at the moment and it is a great community! https://discord.gg/86rUrYu
PMW wishes you many safe cargo hauls with the new Toriyuso transport SV!
