Spanj Fleet Systems is proud to bring you a revolutionary new weapons system. The Ground Pounder.

With more and more military installations clustering together for better firepower profiles the Ground Pounder is designed specifically to eliminate ground based fortifications with overwhelming firepower.

The Ground Pounder has 20 down facing projectile turrets to overwhelm ground defences and eliminate them quickly. (This ship will not work on most MP servers that enforce device limits).

Built from Combat steel and fitted with a Tier 2 shield system the Ground Pounder can tank the defence systems of most targets while the turret systems go to work on removing enemy turret systems.

Usage Instructions: Ensure turret systems are set to only target enemy turret systems for best results. Position the Ground Pounder directly above the target and lower the vessel into range of the target. Optimal range is between 200 - 400 metres depending on atmosphere density and range of the turret systems at that time. Incoming fire should be focused on the central hull of this ship. If incoming fire is focusing on nacelles. consider repositioning the ship. If shields fall, the combat armour will protect the ship for a time but will of course require repair before future engagements. If escape is required, use the lift thrusters to quickly move out of range of the enemy.

The Ground Pounder is not built for speed or luxury. Max expected cruise speed is 30m/s, faster speeds can be achieved by using the lift thrusters in combination with inertia. Internally, there are no production systems and very basic storage and medical facilities. Blast door entrances can be found on the top deck port and starboard.

Finally, for space travel, 4x flak cannons are provided on the top deck to protect from drones or SV targets. and escort is recommended if possible.
