SFS-LineBacker

Originally designed as an expeditionary vessel, the Linebacker is surprisingly versatile with good all round qualities in most areas. It also good firepower and armor for its size and as a result the military quickly refitted the Linebacker as a ship of the line and saw its debut in battle as a second row support ship, laying down support fire and providing logistics support for the battleships, this is where she earned the name LineBacker.

The unusual shape is a result of the ship being built around a large hangar bay. This also resulted in the LineBaker having one of the largest hangar spaces for a ship of its size and the key reason it's so flexible. With that much space the ship is capable of a range of functions from expedition, exploration, carrier, dropship, cargo ship and so on.
