Skaar-Dredge-T3

The Skaar Dredge-T3 is high capacity industrial miner / salvage / harvest HV. Designed to work in the worst of environments to collect and salvage as quickly as possible while staying defended. Unlike most miners, this one uses a mining turret (deployable via P menu option) placed facing the ground on a stable HV platform. The mining turret can reach the bedrock without moving the vehicle. Simply pull up to an ore deposit (recommended to be at 3 meter height) and mine away until satisfied and move quickly to the next ore deposit. Beyond mining is also comes with a deployable salvage (multi-turret) to dismantle structures for salvage and 2 wood harvesters.

Survival Features:

It comes with 32K harvest storage, 5500 ammo storage, o2 and dispenser, fridge, armor locker, WiFi, detector, constructor, drone hatch, med bay, clone chamber, and sand worm droppings (Tried cleaning but left stains). It is also designed for a T4 CPU upgrade allowing for a shield and pentaxid tank to be installed. Doing this upgrade requires no additional power generators.

Offense and Defense

The hull is built with steel and cargo extensions. It comes with 6 minigun turrets able to protect the vehicle from all directions. Ammo storage is 5500.

Upgrading to CPU Tier 4 and adding a shield

Inside the cab, you would first want to remove the 2 T3 CPU blocks located in the floor. Then add 4 T4 cpu blocks in the 2 open floor spots as well as two marked (T4) slots on the ceiling. After that, place a shield in the marked spot on the ceiling (S) and a pentaxid tank also on the ceiling (P). Doing this upgrade requires no additional power generators.

Notes: To do mining or salvaging, you would first want to go the the P menu and deploy either mining or salvaging turret. Then go to devices -> Harvest -> select the turret you wish and click the access button. I recommend a mining height of 3 meters (max height). The mining turret can reach the bedrock and able to get the entire deposit without moving normally. This is a very fast and effective way to gain a lot a ore quickly. The multi-turret is located on the back of the vehicle and is accessed the same way. It has plenty of power to climb steep hills and move a lot of harvest cargo. It can fit in a 9x5 hangar door and easily fits on the Skaar-Sky Runner T3.
