SOL Orbital Station

After building many Small and Capital Vessels, I decided to have a go at building a space station. Space stations have so much potential for interesting use of space and gravity, so I wanted to see how far I could take it. This is the result of that effort.

Designed as a large multiplayer base, the SOL Orbital Station takes full advantage of the gravity physics provided in Empyrion to truly feel like a space station. While the design is heavily aesthetic, it is a fully functional base ready to use in single or multi-player.

The base is divided into 4 Blocks (A, B, C, D) and 2 Hubs (North and South). Each block has 3 levels: the Hangar, the Ring, and the Lobby. The Ring levels connect via a glass ring around the outside of the structure. Following the North or South Elevator will bring you to one of the Hubs, which connect to the blocks through diagonal tunnels. The Hubs contain the farm plots, factory, control room and storage areas, as well as a large viewing deck.

*IMPORTANT NOTES*

-While all blocks appear to have solar panels, only A Block's solar panels are actually functional. Point A Block towards the star.

-Switching to 3rd person will make your character quickly align to the gravitational field they are in

-At all points, gravity points away from the centre of the space station

-Remember to keep your capital vessel's gravity away from the station

Enjoy, I've had plenty of fun with this project, and I hope you do too :)
